Welcome to The Ride of Pride 

The Ride of Pride (published by Author House), is a new illustrated children’s book by Dr. Sonya Johnson and Dr. Yvonne Johnson.  The book focus on two parents find an interesting way to instill pride and motivation in their child.  After reviewing his report on a black inventor, Mr.  and Mrs. Anderson becomes concerned that their son, Jaylen, is not as interested in his school work. Rather than lecture him, they look for unique way to motivate Jaylen to work harder in school and be prideful of his African-American heritage.  Mr. Anderson comes up with the idea to teach his son about the many contributions black inventors have made through the years by pointing out many of these items which are used daily.
